Pros :The 236 e sries chain saw I bought works great around the home. I can saw firewood, prune and take down medium sized trees. It starts great and runs well. It is light weight and the no tool chain tightener is really nice.It has held up well so far to what I need it for. Time will tell if the light weight design will keep up with the work. I would buy this product again.

Pros :My new 236e has worked out well for me so far. It's easy to start every time, cuts great, and runs good.My only problem at all is that it seems to over oil the chain. Not a horrible thing but I have to be careful to make sure that I stop ocassionally to refill the bar and chain oil so that it doesn't run out. If I wait 'till the petrol is gone then the oil is gone first and I don't want to damage the bar and chain.Very happy and would by another if I needed one.
Cons :over oils chain

Pros :I have been extremely happy with my purchase, and would recommend this to anyone interested in purchasing a chainsaw of any type, particularly a petrol-powered chainsaw. I bought it based on Consumers Reports ratings & reported prices and they were right!

Pros :I needed a chain saw to use on my 3 1/2 acres that I own, went to the local dealer , the salesperson seamed to be knowledgeable about the saws and he recommended the 236 e series for what I needed. Man was he right, this a great chain saw, I have used it several times since I purchased it and I love it, its light weight, easy to operate, runs a long time on a tank of petrol, I would highly recommend it to any one needing a light weight saw.
